In 1986, Derek commenced in the insurance industry as an Insurance Broker and in 2001, he formed Celtic Insurance Brokers.  Derek has qualified as a member of Ascend (Advisers Performing with Excellence) every year since its inception in 1994. Derek is a member of Financial Advice New Zealand and as a condition of his membership he adheres to the Financial Advice New Zealand Code of Ethics and Practice Standards, in all facets of his business.

Stacey started her insurance journey in 2019, where she worked for a Large Rural Insurer and has experience across Fire & General and Risk Insurance Policies. Stacey joined the Team at Celtic in 2022 as Derek’s Personal Assistant and supporting Financial Adviser. Stacey also holds her NZ Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5).
